An experienced island guide takes you on a half day tour of the beautiful 42 acre National Park which is run by the Bahamas National Trust. Within the Park lies the wonderful caves where the Arawak Indians lived well before Christopher Columbus landed on the island of Grand Bahama in 1492.

Among the mangroves, orchids, rare animals and insects of the park are the entrances to a cave network so vast it hasn't even been mapped yet.

You'll walk through the park and experience an abundance of wild birds and colorful fish before reaching a spectacular Caribbean Beach. With an introduction to 500 years of Caribbean history the tour is a must for the discerning visitor.

Summary:

48 HOURS MINIMUM ADVANCED BOOKING REQUIRED. This tour offers hotel pick-up. Rates are per person and in US Dollars. Child rate applies to children 11 and under. Please reserve online, or call us toll-free at 800-887-2864. There is a $3.95 processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.
There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

About Lucayan National Park

The park, named after the aborigines who lived there long before the arrival of Columbus, boasts five separate ecosystems that visitors can experience and learn about.

With over six miles of caves, caverns, and tunnels charted, Lucayan National Park encompasses one of the longest-known underwater cave systems in the world.

This 40-acre park is filled with mangrove, pine, and palm trees. It also contains one of the loveliest, most secluded beaches on Grand Bahama, a long, wide, dune-covered stretch of sandy beach reached by following a wooden path winding through the trees.
